I am Ana – mother, surface pattern designer, and illustrator with a never-ending appetite for creativity.
I have a deep love for the abundance of nature, likely because the region I grew up in, Bujor (Moldavian for "peony"), is named after a flower—one of my absolute favourites!
I now live in Northern Ireland with my family, and if there’s one thing I’d like you to know about me, it’s that my daughter is my constant inspiration. Until recently, my career path was quite straightforward—and, mind you, not creative at all!
Following this artistic journey began as a way to bring more play and joy into our lives. I want Jasmine—how could I resist naming her after a flower?—to grow up with a strong belief that she can be whoever she wants to be!
It is precisely why you’ll notice that the roots of my artistic inspiration are found in nature, and mostly I love to paint watercolour leaves and flowers. Described by my loved ones as delicate, vibrant and with crisp details, my artwork gives you a peak into the most joyous part of my life!
Finding my moments of motivation and passion on the weekends or late into the evenings when I am alone and at peace, my creativity comes from moments of quiet. Besides painting, I love cycling, knitting, and walking with my family along the magnificent Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland (while enjoying our ice creams! Well, at least when it's sunny outside, haha!).
